Are more roasters dropping a little earlier now because brewers extract easier than before?

With better grinders and brewers extracting easier now, are more roasters dropping a little earlier on purpose? I hear this idea more often, especially for filter offerings that want high aroma and less roast print. Good move, or just another trend people repeat too fast?

For some menus yes, but not every coffee wants this treatment.

Exactly, better extraction equipment widens option, it does not remove roasting responsibility.

I think many people copy lighter finish because extraction tools are better, but not all cafe brew well enough to support it.

If the cafe side is weak, early drop becomes sour complaint machine.

Works better when green quality is already very clean.

I like it on floral lots, not on everything.
