B2B wholesale vs B2C retail, which is worth more to pursue?

i run them both parallel. B2B to multiple cafe and restaurants, B2C via Instagram and website. result: the volume of B2B is greater but the margin perkg is thinner. B2C margins are better but the effect is doubled: handling individual order, packing one-one, more intensive customer service.

It's often a problem at B2B: the payback term is 30-45 days, someone is trying to nego the price, and if one big client drops, it goes straight to the cashflow.

In B2C the challenge: high cost of acquisition, shipping cost eats margins, and hard build repeat purchase without a deliberate program.

There's a rodeo that's been decide focused on one and could you tell me a real story?

B2B is predictable cashflow if the custom is established and volume is consistent. It's hard: price negotiations are often drama and dependence on one of two big clients is risky.

i chose the focus of B2C because the margins are higher and the freedom of pricing is greater. But the first two years were tough before traffic started organic.

B2C is a long investment. If you want to return quickly, B2B is more straight forward. But if you want to build brand equity, B2C is a much higher potential.

one thing is often forgotten: The cafe that buys the wholesale has a different need for the end consumer that buys 200g a week.

there is a rule of thumb: B2B max 50% of total revenue to not be too dependent. On top of that, the vulnerability of one client drops too high.

interesting number. Now my B2B is about 70%, starting to think B2C push is more aggressive so that there's a balance.

That day B2B payback was 30-45 for cashflow. If you don't have enough work capital, run the B2B on your own.
