Are more roasteries moving from simple roast logs to exception-based production dashboards?

I see more operations teams getting tired of watching every normal batch line by line. They only want dashboard alerts when something goes outside target or a roast gets stuck in QC hold. For medium volume this looks more practical than full manual checking, but does it also make people blind to smaller drift?

Exception view saves time, but only if thresholds are built carefully. Bad thresholds can hide real trouble.

Yes, dashboard works best when someone still samples raw logs every few days.

For busy team this is helpful. Staff cannot stare all batch data all day, but manager still need warning when roast goes outside normal window.

My concern is people stop reading context once dashboard becomes colorful enough.

We moved this way because daily review was eating too much time.
