how do you know what a good quality Zgreen bean is?

first time I bought a green bean myself

First one to buy it is yellow-tanned, always buying it elsewhere. It's fresh green. The difference is so far away. Which is better?

And besides the color, what else does time have to look at with green bean?

the color is one indicator but not the only one. fresh green with a little bluish usually shows a still ok, yellow or brown motion could indicate too dry or too long stored. but it still needs another physical check.

defect rate per 300 grams is standard used by SCA for grade classification. The seeds that pass as a specialty grade are max 5 primary design and 0 secondary asset per 300 grams of sample. It's way more objective than just seeing color.

the smell is also important. The nice green bean has a clean aroma, maybe a little grassy or earthy. If there's any cold, musty, or chemical smell, it's a big red flag.

i just learned this, too. is there a simple way to check moistity without a moisture meter? because it's expensive for a rookie to start.

the rough way without the tools: but this is not a change of moisture meter, just a rough quick check.
