collaborates for the new market. that make more sense than a go-solo?

the expansion into the new market alone was a big costume and the risk was high. need to build a brand asceniness from nothing in our unknown market, navigation local regulation, build a distribution channel, and all that takes years.

Collab with local partners who've established there it could bypass most of these obstacles. Their distribution, local credibility, knowledge about taste preference and local regulation. Let's give the producers and stories.

Specialty coffee is now growing significant at 70 + state according to SCA 2023. Many are still looking for an authentic supplier with a strong story. Indonesia has that story, but the infrastructure partnership to deliver to the market is still very limited.

once supply to a roaster Singapore which is our distributor for some resellers there. They don't change, but there's an additional label of "distributed by" from partners. It worked out pretty well because they were handling imports, regulation, and local network.

most common problems: alignment of pricing. local partners want enough margin for their cover distribution and effort, but if the margins are too big, end price to the consumer becomes less competitive.

and if the prices are too high of the end consumer perspective, the formed brand image can shift in an unintended direction. premium positioning can be positive, but it needs to be kept accessible.

one important thing before going to expand: make sure the product is solid enough to defend reputation in a new market. if there's a quality inference and it happens in a market that his partner has given credibility, it can damage relations very quickly.

has anyone tried Japan? The market specialty Japan is very disserting. If our product can be received there, it's a very strong validation for other markets as well.

i'm curious about Europe. The EUDR we talked about on that other forum is it the local barrier to enter the local EU market via partner?
