maybe this sounds soft compared with machine or trade topics, but i do not think it is small.

Market-style meetups for beans and gear could work if trust rules are clear

coffee spaces talk a lot about learning and connection. still, the mood of a room can shift because of things nobody planned for. tone, rhythm, who speaks first, who gets explained to, who gets ignored.

curious what people here have seen work in real community, not ideal theory.

tone beats theory here. you can have useful topic and still create cold atmosphere.
