Community newsletters still feel underrated for local scenes

I am curious about community newsletters for local coffee scenes because coffee community often grows faster than its habits. When that happens, the same problem repeats in different places. I would rather hear from people who have seen it directly than from ideal theory.

What has worked for you around community newsletters for local coffee scenes, and what looked good at first but failed later?

I would treat community newsletters for local coffee scenes like culture building, not project management only. The habit people repeat each month is what defines the community later.

from what i see, community newsletters for local coffee scenes need one or two person who keep the rhythm. community look casual outside, but actually somebody still must maintain it.

I think community newsletters for local coffee scenes becomes difficult when one person carries too much invisible work. Community feels organic from outside, but inside there is always maintenance.

What I learned is that community newsletters for local coffee scenes works better when expectation is spoken clearly. Many awkward moments come from people assuming different things.

From what I saw, community newsletters for local coffee scenes improves when the group leaves room for different levels of knowledge. If only very confident people can speak, the space shrinks fast.
