Are more roasters ignoring turning point now because it creates more noise than help?

Seeing many roast logs lately where people say turning point is almost useless, especially on small batch and unstable weather day. I still mark it, but sometimes it only makes me chase correction too early and the roast gets nervous after that. Are you still watching turning point seriously now, or only using it as rough machine reference?

I still note it, but only to compare machine condition. For cup decision it tells very little on my 1kg roaster.

Yes, machine condition clue is the key. If turning point shifts together with gas or ambient change, then it still has value.

Same for me, if weather moving around, turning point can look different and make us panic for nothing. I see more useful from yellow to first crack momentum.

For bigger batch it is more stable, but on small batch I agree it becomes noisy number.

Sometimes people want one clean marker so bad. Turning point looks scientific, but many time it is just sensor drama.

I keep it in log because it helps notice gas pressure issue, not because I build roast around it.
