how do you raise the price without losing a customer?

pick up a scary coffee price, let alone the Jakarta market whose choices are excellent. But the fact is the cost goes up and if the price doesn't go up, slowly the land dies.

What I see: there are prices up and down and perceived up and up. There's a rising price and customer's on the loose. The difference is where?

the successful increase in prices usually comes with something that the custom-certified: new formula, packaging upgrade, sourcing are more premium and communicable. if you go up there without a "reason" in sight, trust erosion.

been up prices and sales down the first two weeks. but the next month is back and even higher. what happened: the price- sensitive churn, the loyal fixed and brought new people because the brand looks more premium.

it's interesting. so that price rate is actually natural filtering too. the one who left may not be a market target to be pursued.

the certificate must be concrete and felt. "because the cost goes up" is a valid but unlikely excuse for customer. "we now use the single original flores of certain farmers." That's the story you can hold.

gradually it's a key. up 10% now, 10% more 6 months later, custom adaptation slowly. than a 25% increase in shock.

premium experiment should come too. if the price goes up but everything else is the same, customer feels cheated.

some people have stuck: prices are already too cheap at the beginning and it's hard to raise because customer has given that a reference. it's harder than the new launch at premium prices from the start.
