many say "data-driven" but rarely explain the concrete. in mid-scale rodeo, what's the most actionable data to improve sales?

which i started track: repeat purchase rate per customer, average order value per segment, channel which is the most loyal custom generator not the most.

but still feel a lot of data to take and act on?

the most important three metrics to prioritize: repeat purchase rate (how many percent of customers buy again in 60 days), average order frequency, and CLV per activity channel. That of three could've made a lot better decisions.

that seasonality pattern is useful for planning production and inventory. if you know a certain moon is always more deserted, you can plan a promo or open a new channel there than you're surprised to be.

accessible tools for small-middle roastrery: consistent spreadsheet updated, or platforms like Clorofile that are indeed designed for operational hands and sales roasty integrated. All that matters is the data being captured, not scattered around WA and cell phone numbers.

cohort analysis is advanced but very useful. customeres based on the first month's purchase, then track retentions from time to time. from there it was discovered whether there was a problem on the onboarding or on a particular product.

let's start with the simplest one: record every sale with customer info, products, channels, dates. if that's consistent, a lot of analysis can be done from that raw data.

this is what passes by: more valuable data with a history. a simple consistent spreadsheet for a year is more actionable than advanced software used only in two months.
