engine capacity's at the limit, but orders continue to rise, scaling to where?

the machine's been running almost six days a week. there are some new clients coming in this month and i have to refuse or delay order because i can't afford to go after.

options i think of:
- more night shifts.
- upgrade to engine capacity greater
- buy a second engine with the same capacity.

each one has its own cost and its own risk. confused: which is more make sense to this stage? the volume is now 400kg / week, projections can rise to 600-700kg if demand is met.

from experience, the second engine capacity is just as safe as a direct upgrade to a larger one. reason: if one engine trouble, not a total down. and it can keep a different profile in parallel.

that night shift wasn't a long-term solution. The operator is tired, QC is difficult to maintain, and operational costs are up. Better invest in extra hardware.

yes, the night shift is also my final consideration for it. first quality must be guarded.

before the upgrade, try audit first whether there's an inefficiency in the workflow that can squeeze capacity more than the current setup. sometimes with workflow repair, effective capacity can go up 15-20% without buying anything.

this is really happening to me. after tidying up the batch schedule and shuffling the dead-time batch, it turns out it can be 2 batches a day without buying a new machine.

if upgrade to a larger machine, make sure the infrastructure support: gas line, exhaust, power. sometimes these infrastructure costs are not calculated and can be more expensive than the machine itself.

it's true about infrastructure. i once almost bought a big machine but the timing costs an extra install cost, so it's not worsiable.
