Subscription pickup inside the cafe: does it build stronger habit?

In my market more operators are starting to talk about subscription pickup from the cafe. The idea sounds good in meeting, but I am not sure how well it survives in daily business. We all want something sustainable, not only something that looks smart online.

If you have experience with subscription pickup from the cafe, where does it usually fail and where does it actually work?

My impression is that subscription pickup from the cafe looks stronger from outside than inside. Customer may like it, but if the team feels overloaded the long-term value drops fast.

I would not reject subscription pickup from the cafe at all, but I think many operators start it too early. First the core operation must be calm, then extra initiative has better chance.

What changed my mind about subscription pickup from the cafe was seeing repeat behavior, not first-week excitement. Coffee business always has ideas; the rare thing is ideas that stay healthy.
