another climate-resistant copy variety developed, has anyone tried?

research on this and finding some names that are often mentioned in the outer literature but are rarely discussed on the Indonesian forum.

It's a cross-caturra x timer hybrid. Timor Hybrid himself was a natural cross arabica and robusta that was first discovered in Timor around the 1940s. The tolerance for the leaf rust is high, but many say cup quality is flat when planted in low altitude.

Castillo of Colombia was a healing cenicafé that involved the derivative of Timor hybrids. Now it's been planted in about 70% of Colombia's coffee areas and cup qualitys are competitive enough. In Kenya there was a Batian released in 2010, held by CLR and CBD, once got a cupping score over 87. The older version of 11 is durable, but the quality is still under traditional variety.

In Indonesia alone there is a Sigarar Debate from Pulitkoka Jpail but the farmer's response to quality is still diverse. Has anyone ever experimented with this variety? Especially accessible ones in Indonesia?

The catimor in the aliases below 1000m does the cup quality. can be disappointing, flat and astrigent. But above 1400m a few lot of Catimor from a serious original process can get an 80-82 score. aliases and processing remain a dominant factor. Its variety can be an enabler of resilience but not a single determination of quality.

my area of Sigarar's debt has been planted long enough. The resistance to the carat of leaves is indeed better than Typica or pure bourbon. But the buyer specialty who comes here is more prefer of old varieties that they already know. It's a real dilemma on the ground: the top variety is holding but the market is not excited.

castillo trajectory in Colombia is an important lesson. Originally rejected many roaster because cup quality is considered far below Bourbon or pure Caturra. Cenicafé continues to improve the next generation for many years with serious funding. Colombians can still play in the specialty market with these varieties. Indonesia needs something similar but Pulitkoka Jpail's budget is nothing compared to Cenicafé Colombia.

i'm sorry. Timor Hybrids can be bought as seeds in Indonesia to grow directly? Or is it just the raw materials of breaking and not selling commercial?

Pure time hybrids aren't sold as commercial seeds because they're unstable for direct production. Catimor, Lini S or Sigarar. For Indonesian farmers who want varieties with the resilience of a viable disease, Lini S production is the most accessible Pulitkoka.

world Coffee Research again developed a promising F1 hybrid. Some were tested in various origines showing yield 25-30% higher with a competitive cup quality than its traditional arabica elders. The problem is seed sterile, farmers can't keep their own seed from the harvest and have to buy each cycle.

that's what needs to be criticized from the F1 hybrid model: farmers became dependents to seed companies. exactly the trajectory that happens in the rice industry and corn in some developing world. From the angle of food sovereignty and the resistance of small farmers, there's a serious trade-off before this model is widely adopted.
