another climate-resistant copy variety developed, has anyone tried?
It's a cross-caturra x timer hybrid. Timor Hybrid himself was a natural cross arabica and robusta that was first discovered in Timor around the 1940s. The tolerance for the leaf rust is high, but many say cup quality is flat when planted in low altitude.
Castillo of Colombia was a healing cenicafé that involved the derivative of Timor hybrids. Now it's been planted in about 70% of Colombia's coffee areas and cup qualitys are competitive enough. In Kenya there was a Batian released in 2010, held by CLR and CBD, once got a cupping score over 87. The older version of 11 is durable, but the quality is still under traditional variety.
In Indonesia alone there is a Sigarar Debate from Pulitkoka Jpail but the farmer's response to quality is still diverse. Has anyone ever experimented with this variety? Especially accessible ones in Indonesia?
