light difference roast, medium roast, same dark roast?

ask me the basic question first. Somebody wants to explain.

All this time when the coffee order at the cafe always chooses medium because it seems safest. But actually, light difference, medium, same dark roast what is it?

How different? And from the health side, is there a difference?

dari sisi rasa: light roast lebih bright, acidic, banyak fruity atau floral notes karena biji di-develop lebih pendek, karakter origin-nya paling terasa. medium lebih balanced, gak terlalu asam gak terlalu pahit. dark lebih bitter, chocolatey atau smoky, karakter origin-nya banyak yang hilang.

dari kafein: ada mitos dark roast lebih banyak kafein, itu tidak benar. light roast secara berat per gram justru punya kafein sedikit lebih tinggi karena beratnya lebih padat. tapi perbedaannya kecil.

soal yang paling sehat itu sebenernya relatif dan banyak faktornya. light roast biasanya punya lebih banyak antioksidan tertentu karena proses roasting lebih singkat, tapi ini bukan alasan utama untuk pilih roast level.

roasting: The light is usually Zdrop temp in range 196-205 degrees Celsius, medium 210-220, dark 225 up. There's also a more specific term like light-medium or medium-dark in the middle.

which is often forgotten: Ethiopian medium and Brazilian medium are completely different. So the roast label is just part of the big picture.
