buy a little roasting machine first or a rather large one?

i'm going to buy my first Zroasting machine.

There's a recommendation that takes 1 kg to study, but there's also one that says go straight to the 3 kg to make the investment count for nothing. The price difference is pretty far.

Which one is better? If you buy a small one first will it hurt because you have to buy a bigger one?

if budget exists, 3kg is a more sensitive point for learning as well as starting small businesses. the 1 kg is the physical side of the machine is bigger, so the skills you build at 1kg are not directly transferred.

different physics are what people forget. at 1kg a small drum is hotter relative to batches, so the reaction is faster and less forgiving. at 3kg or larger, there are more thermal mass who love the buffer.

i started at 1kg and it's ok because I'm not financially ready and skills. Enough to learn basics: timing, temperature, reading ROR. but even if you want scale up, you have to develop a profile again from the start.

the reality is first: what's the string for? if it's just for yourself or family, if there's a sale plan, try to calculate the production needs first and then of course size.

i was confused earlier too. finally borrow a friend's machine a few weeks before buying it yourself. it helps to know for yourself which size to match needs.
