colllab coffee with non-coffee brand would do? anyone ever?

starbucks x Spotify in 2015. Spotify give music curation to Starbucks, Starbucks love in- app credits to Spotify users. Both extends reach to each audience without a direct overlap.

On a smaller scale, there's coffee brand x fashion brand, coffee x skincare, coffee x book. What's interesting about this cross- catechism is that the audience gets really fresh, not the same audience that already knows us.

I've often seen fail: a colllab created only because of another brand's "big name," without sharing values or the general audience. The results were forced and there was nothing to fix.

i've seen colllab coffee x bookstore in Jakarta. They sell bundles: one book plus a single-original coffee bag recommended with that coffee. It's creative and the audience is very aligned.

the most makes sense it's a colllab equal brand that shares life positioning. coffee x outdoor brand, coffee x music, coffee x independent art. there's overlap in the audience that's more than just a coincidence.

i tried collab with local bacery for a bundle of products. so simple: packaging together, suggest peering, sold in both stores. no cash exchange, just product swap. the surpersonal works because the audience that buys croissants on them are the same ones that buy specialty coffee on us.

it's the most accessible model for small businesses. it doesn't need complicated contracts or big budgets. if the results are good, then there's nothing to lose.

the cross-industry collab i'd like to try: coffee x wellness brand. specialty coffee and kombucha or herbs drink equally positive for lifestyle consumers. anyone ever explore this?

from the data, the lifestyle beverages market is growing fast because the same consumer buys specialty coffee it also buys artisan combucha, cold brew tea, etc. there's a real audience overlap there.
