The seeds are fried but the inside is still young, it's scorching?

So yesterday I was roast natural Andrungsari, a 1 kg batch, a roaster drum. When it came out of the drum it turned out there was a black acorn on the edge, It's scorching, isn't it?

I've dropped gas at the beginning, but I guess my drums are too hot to go in. charge temp back then 230s. Is this a big deal?

The bad news is that in the cup there's a very disturbing smoky taste, but there's also the fruity side of the process so it's confused how. Throw it away, honey. It's not good.

This is my first time scorching, usually not this bad. What's wrong?

I think it's scorching. Tipping is different, usually the tip of the seed that burns instead of the whole surface. charge temp 230 is too high if you haven't really equilibrium yet. Try to get it down to 200-210 and give it a little more time to preheat the drum before it goes in.

eh charge temp 230 itu emang overshooting bro. gue sendiri pake 200 flat buat drum roaster dan itu udah cukup. kalau terlalu panas pas bean masuk permukaan bean langsung kena moisture shock, luar gosong dalem masih muda persis yang lo ceritain

Same deal that said the Preheat took longer. That drum needs an equilibrium first, not just a thermometer. I used to preheat 20 minutes after the target temp reached new entry. Overkill may but consistently result.

i had the same thing in my early studies. charge temp High + drum homenade The hot spot on the drum was uneven, My solution was to use a thermometer at some point. Make the drum heat distribution check

It's a tricky thing to do with the somersault. The same commercial roaster that already exists is a measured airflow. If I may, please note every Zroast session, charge temp, preheat duration, all accounted for. It'll be a long time to find your own pattern.

Can you save that coffee? Or just throw it away? It's too bad that Andrungsari's natural.

it seems to me that the scorching rate is still light, and it's a blend and another string for his smokinesse nuttins. But if it gets worse it's more realistic than ruined reputation.
