Are more operations teams using dispatch cut-off windows to stop late-order chaos?

I am hearing more teams use hard dispatch cut-off windows so late orders do not keep exploding the roast and packing plan. Sales usually hates the rule at first, but operations says it is the only way to stop daily reshuffling. Are cut-off windows becoming standard once weekly volume gets serious?

Without cut-off, every late order pretends to be special.

Yes, rule matters only when managers stop breaking it for every loud request.

Cut-off gives operations one stable line in the day.

Sales resistance usually drops after service becomes more predictable.

The trick is making exceptions truly rare, not daily theater.
