Grass leaves and fruit powder fall down, you ever get hit bad?
The carat of the leaf was Hemileia vastatrix, its spores spreading through the wind and most aggressive high humidity time. In Central America in 2012-2013 there was a major epidemic that hit 70% of the gardens in several countries and the total loss was estimated to be over a billion dollars according to FAO and ICA reports not small.
In Indonesia, in addition to the Leaf Rubber, a.k.a. Coffee Berry Borer (CBB) was also quietly disabled. This little bug drills in and lays eggs in it. From CABI's data, the global loss of CBB is approximately 500 million dollars a year.
The most frustrating thing: these two pests can come together and different treaties. Anyone ever get hurt? How does the real early detection work?
