Longer routes with multiple transshipment points look normal in schedules now, but some traders say each extra handover increases uncertainty on timing and condition. Are transshipment-heavy routes quietly reducing value before the coffee even reaches destination?

The invoice may not show it, but the risk profile is definitely different.

On paper transit time can still look acceptable, but reliability becomes weaker.

Some buyers still compare only price and final ETA, not route complexity.

That can be expensive later when coffee arrives tired or late.
