this has been sitting in my head because the industry keeps pushing it faster.

Personalized caffeine choices could become normal menu UX, not special request

from outside it can look like obvious progress. inside the team it can feel like one more moving part with no spare hands. i am less interested in the polished version and more in the boring reality.

where did this actually help, and where did it become expensive noise?

the metric matters here. if nobody agrees what success looks like, the whole thing becomes vibes and screenshots.

that line about timing feels right. same idea at wrong moment can still be bad business.

first-week excitement can lie. repeat behavior is the only part i trust now.

this feels market-dependent too. one city treats it like fresh signal, another city barely reacts.

we tried something close to this. good upside was real, but the team energy cost was also real.

i think timing is a big part. same idea can be smart six months later and messy right now.
