Is roast-to-pack handoff becoming the real bottleneck once weekly volume increases?

Some teams think roasting capacity is the main growth problem, but once weekly volume rises, the roast-to-pack handoff starts looking like the real choke point. Cooling done, batch recorded, then coffee waits because labeling, bag prep, staging, or approval is not ready yet. Is this handoff becoming the true bottleneck more often now?

Very common. Roasting looks busy, but packing queue is where hours disappear.

Yes, throughput lives in the gaps between teams, not only inside one machine.

Handoff bottleneck hurts more because nobody owns it fully.

Also many teams optimize roast time and ignore pre-pack readiness.

Once approval, labels, and bags are split across people, waiting becomes normal.
