Is late airflow increase after first crack causing hollow sweetness in some roasts?

I keep finding cups with nice aroma but sweetness feels hollow after a few sips, especially on roasts where airflow is pushed harder after first crack. Are production roasters using that late airflow jump too aggressively now, or is this more a green coffee issue than I think?

I did this mistake before. Smoke cleaned up, but inside flavor got thinner.

Exactly, aroma can trick us first. On table after cooling, the middle taste shows the weakness.

Late airflow increase can help clean cup, but if too big, heat transfer drops and sweetness feels empty. I learned this on washed Colombia.

Depends on drum pressure too. Airflow move alone does not tell full story.

Some people fix flick with fan, then create another problem.

For fruity coffees the damage shows very fast.
