Item Configuration Options
1. Default Profit Rate (%)
This value is automatically populated in the Default Profit Rate (%) field when creating a new item.
2. Sale Price Calculation Method
On the Add Item page, the system automatically calculates the selling price based on the selected pricing formula. Two calculation methods are available:
Option A: Calculate Selling Price Using Cost and Profit Rate
Formula:
Selling Price = Purchase Price × (1 + Profit Rate)
Example:
-
Default Profit Rate: 13%
-
Purchase Price: $100
Selling Price = 100 × (1 + 0.13) = $113
Option B: Calculate Selling Price Using Selling Price and Profit Rate
Formula:
Selling Price = Purchase Price ÷ (1 − Profit Rate)
Example:
-
Default Profit Rate: 13%
-
Purchase Price: $100
Selling Price = 100 ÷ (1 − 0.13) = $114.94
3. Fractional Portion (Number of Digits Rounded)
This setting determines how many decimal places the selling price is rounded to.
Example:
-
Fractional Portion = 2
-
Calculated Selling Price = $155.747
Final Selling Price = $155.75
4. Integer Portion (Number of Digits Rounded)
This setting determines rounding at the integer level of the selling price.
Example:
-
Integer Portion = 1
-
Calculated Selling Price = $154.59
Final Selling Price = $160
Barcode Settings
Two barcode display options are available when printing barcodes:
1. Display a Short Description Below the Barcode
-
When enabled, a short description appears below the printed barcode.
-
Only the first 30 characters of the item’s brief description are displayed.
2. Display Price When Printing Barcode
-
When enabled, the selling price is printed directly on the barcode label.
Product Selection Search Threshold
This setting controls how items are displayed in product selection dropdowns:
-
If the number of existing items is greater than X
→ A search box is displayed, and users must enter a keyword to find items. -
If the number of existing items is less than X
→ All items are displayed directly in the dropdown list.
This improves performance and usability when managing a large number of products.
