Trade Discount - Promotions - POS

Promotions are used to apply discounts directly to the order value at checkout.
Promotion programs can be applied across multiple sales channels, including POS, Portal, Manual Orders, and Pre-Orders.

Discounts may be applied as:

• A percentage (%) of the order value, or

• A fixed discount amount.

Add a New Promotion

Step 1: Access Trade Discount Menu

• Navigate to Omni Sales → Trade Discount from the left sidebar.

Step 2: Open Promotions Tab

• Select the Promotions tab.

• Click the Add button.

Step 3: Configure Promotion Details

On the New Trade Discount page, complete the following fields:

1. Promotion Name
   Enter a descriptive name for the promotion.

2. Start Date – End Date
   Define the effective period during which the promotion is valid.

3. Customer Scope

   • If no specific customer group or individual customer is selected, the promotion will apply to all customers by default.

4. Product Scope

   • If no specific product group or individual product is selected, the promotion will apply to all products in the store.

5. Targeted Promotions

   • If specific products or customers are selected, only those products will receive the discount, and only the selected customers will be eligible.

6. Discount Format
   Select one of the following:

   • Percent of Product – Discount is applied as a percentage (%).

   • Price – Discount is applied as a fixed amount.

7. Sales Channel
   Select the applicable channel(s):

   • POS

   • Portal

   • WooCommerce

   • Manual

   • Pre-Order

8. Minimum Order Value
   Specify the minimum order amount required for the promotion to be applied.

Examples

Example 1: POS Channel – Percent of Product

• Minimum Order Value: 1,700

• Discount Format: Percent of Product

• Discount: 10%

• If the total POS order value is less than 1,700, the promotion will not be applied.

• If the total POS order value is greater than or equal to 1,700, a 10% discount will be applied to the order value.

Example 2: POS Channel – Price (Fixed Amount)

• Minimum Order Value: 1,700

• Discount Format: Price

• Discount: 50

• If the total POS order value is less than 1,700, the promotion will not be applied.

• If the total POS order value is greater than or equal to 1,700, a fixed discount of 50 will be applied to the order value.

Edit a Promotion

To modify an existing promotion:

1. Navigate to Omni Sales → Trade Discount from the left sidebar.

2. Select the Promotions tab.

3. Choose the promotion to be edited and click Edit.

4. Make the necessary changes.

5. Click Save to apply the updates.

Delete a Promotion

If a promotion is no longer in use, it can be removed from the system:

1. Navigate to Omni Sales → Trade Discount from the left sidebar.

2. Select the Promotions tab.

3. Choose the promotion to be deleted and click Delete.

4. Confirm the deletion in the confirmation pop-up.

The promotion will be permanently deleted from the system.
