To add a new commodity group to your organization, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu under the Purchase module from the left sidebar.
Step 2: Select the Commodity Group menu and click the Add Commodity Group button.
Step 3: On the Add Commodity Group page, complete the following fields:

- Commodity Group Code: Enter a unique code for the commodity group.
- Commodity Group Name: Enter the name of the commodity group.
- Order: Enter the display order number. Commodity groups with smaller numbers will appear higher in the commodity group dropdown list.
- Display: Enable this option to make the commodity group visible in the commodity group dropdown list. Disable this option to hide the commodity group.
- Note: Enter any additional notes if required.
Step 4: Click the Save button to create the commodity group.
Edit Commodity Group
To edit the details of an existing commodity group, follow these steps:

- Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu under the Purchase module from the left sidebar.
- Step 2: Select the Commodity Group menu, hover over the commodity group you want to edit, and click Edit.
- Step 3: Make the necessary changes and click the Save button to apply the updates.
Delete Commodity Group
If a commodity group is no longer in use, it can be deleted by following these steps:

- Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu under the Purchase module from the left sidebar.
- Step 2: Select the Commodity Group menu, hover over the commodity group you want to delete, and click Delete.
- Step 3: Confirm your action in the confirmation pop-up. The selected commodity group will be permanently deleted.
